Bok Tower – “Singing Tower”

Bok Tower - Bok Tower – “Singing Tower is located just north of Lake wales is Bok Tower garden, a botanical garden and sanctuary. Built upon one of the highest points in florida is the 205 ft singing tower.

The tower is not open to walk through however you can enjoy daily concerts from it’s carillon bells. Bok tower gardens is open to visitors and has 250 acres of gardens and nature to enjoy.

Spook Hill

Placed upon a gravity hill Spook Hill gives an optical illusion that cars appear to be rolling up the hill.

The hill consists of sand and limestone which two to three million years ago when the sea level was much higher were islands.

Located close to Bok towers spook hill is a great attraction. Stop by read the legend and see the illusion for yourself!

Highlands Hammock

Highlands Hammock State Park is a 9,000-acre (3,640 ha) park west of Sebring. The park opened in 193 and became one of the four original Florida State Parks when the state park system was created in 1935.

The park includes nine trails that can be accessed from a scenic three-mile (5 km) loop drive. The park includes an eleven-mile (18 km) trail can be traversed by bicyclists, horseback riders or wildlife viewers and is also part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Enjoy a walk through an old-growth bald cypress swamp with Cabbage Palmettos, ferns, bromeliads, orchids and other epiphytes on an elevated boardwalk. Some trees are believed to be over a thousand years old, including what is possibly the largest oak in Florida, with a girth of over 36 feet. Guests can also enjoy picnicking, ranger guided tours, a campground with full hookups, a playground, as well as “the Hammock Inn” restaurant.
